Stranger Things at The Lucky Rabbit

Fans of the Netflix series, “Stranger Things,” now in its fourth season, have the opportunity to visit Hawkins, Indiana, where the story takes place.

It’s just that it’s in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

The show has taken the country by storm. Its current season became the biggest premiere weekend for an English language TV show on Netflix. And the second half of Season 4 comes out July 1!

But you don’t have to wait, nor drive to Indiana (Hawkins isn’t real, folks). The Lucky Rabbit in downtown Hattiesburg has set up authentic scenes from the show, perfect for selfies and Instagram. There’s a replica of the Surfer Boy Pizza van, the Byers home complete with alphabet Christmas lights and that funky 80s furniture and that horrific creature with no face.

The Lucky Rabbit is a 15,000-square-foot variety store filled with unique finds and nostalgic treasures. There are old cola machines, vintage arcades and working payphones amid the rows of antiques and collectibles.

It’s also a pop culture haven. Owners Brandon and Abby have been known to recreate interactive set displays such as Dunder Mifflin from “The Office” and David and Alexis’ room at The Roseburg Motel from “Schitt’s Creek.”

Located at 217 Mobile St. in downtown Hattiesburg, The Lucky Rabbit is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Every first Saturday of the month, The Lucky Rabbit hosts an outdoor sale with shopping, food, beer and a huge Bounce House for the kids. For more information, visit their website.

As for "Stranger Things," the finale happens today! You can view the trailer here.
