Nothing 'civil' about the Civil War

But it's full of wild stories!

I recently visited Vicksburg, Miss., home to my great grandparents' families and chock full of history. It's also the site of one of the Civil War's lengthy battles and now a massive national park. I'm not a fan of learning about war, although being a Southerner I know my fair share of Civil War history. But on the day I visited, National Park Ranger Andrew Miller shared some impressive stories, ones I never heard before. You can read more in my story at TravelTheSouthBloggers.com.
